Digitizing the sense of touch – emtec Tactile Sensation Analyzer at ITF Intertex Portugal 2026

Date:

From May 19 – 21, emtec Electronic GmbH will participate in ITF Intertex Portugal in Porto. The German manufacturer will showcase its innovative TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer with the cloud solution Virtual Haptic Library at booth no. E23, highlighting its capabilities in objectively measuring the surface softness, surface smoothness and stretch & recovery of textiles together with their local representatives.

Leipzig, Germany, 01.04.2026 – The two emtec representatives from team Global Business Development, Alexander Gruener and Markus Amthor, will be on site to demonstrate the TSA live and discuss its benefits for product processes, quality assurance and research. The device is already used by major players in the textile and nonwoven industries worldwide to digitize the evaluation of haptic parameters – enabling fast, repeatable, and globally comparable results. This makes it a key tool for aligning technical specifications with customer expectations. In combination with the cloud-based Virtual Haptic Library to quantify and digitize the haptic parameters of textiles, the TSA will upgrade the opportunities for saving resources.

Alongside with the sales team for Portugal, emtec will offer live demonstrations of the TSA and be available for in-depth discussions about how emtec’s technology supports process optimization, quality assurance, and product development. “The ITF Intertex Portugal 2026 is a valuable platform for us to connect directly with professionals across the textile value chain,” says Alexander Gruener. “It’s important for emtec to be present with both our innovative technology and our experienced team – to understand the market’s evolving needs and to demonstrate how our TSA can deliver real value in day-to-day production, research and development.”

Visitors are warmly invited to stop by the emtec booth number E23 at the International Exhibition Centre for a demonstration or to explore tailored solutions for their specific quality control challenges.
