Cambodian garment, footwear & travel goods exports up 11.26% in Jan-April 2026

Date:

In the first four months of the ongoing year, Cambodian exports of garments, footwear and travel goods (GFT) grew 11.26% year on year to reach US $5.02 billion, data released by the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) said.

Cambodia was able to clock double digit growth in the GFT sector despite geopolitical challenges, which reflects sustained demand from the US and EU markets and which accounts for around 45% of overall exports.

Within GFT, knitted garments and apparel accessories accounted for $2.15 billion during the January to April period, an increase of 10.8% over the same months of the previous year.

While, woven clothing and garment accessories increased by 8.7% from a year ago period to $1.29 billion in the period under review.

Shipments of textile made-up articles skyrocketed by 62.3% year over year to reach $143 million.

Footwear exports touched $705 million, up 13.2 percent year over year and shipments of travel goods reached $724 million in the months under review, growing by 8.9%.

Cambodia has been able to grow its GFT exports as global brands amid continuing shifts in global supply chains, are diversifying sourcing bases across Asia.

The exports growth rate also shows the country’s enhanced production capabilities and factories diversifying its apparel products.
