Bangladesh’s garment industry will be transformed by AI-powered wearable smart glasses introduced by ThreadBridge and will serve multiple critical functions for sustainable manufacturing.
ThreadBridge informed about these glasses during the Global Fashion Summit, where the company highlighted how artificial intelligence can improve operational efficiency and sustainability in apparel production.
“The AI-powered wearable smart glasses are expected to cut emissions by streamlining factory audits, enhancing real-time quality control, and reducing physical travel,” Kyna Intel reported.
AI computer vision in these glasses permits stitching line managers to detect stitching or fabric defects instantly, which will help reduce material waste and minimise electricity required to re-process defective apparels.
“In case of carbon reduction, by using remote monitoring and real-time collaboration, the glasses have reportedly saved over 37 tons of carbon emissions across four clothing factories,” Threadbridge said.
