Swift Textiles’ first company to lay foundation stone in Nava Raipur Textile Park

Date:

Tamil Nadu-based Swift Textiles Pvt Ltd did the ground breaking ceremony and became the first company which will set up a garment manufacturing plant in Nava Raipur Textile Park in Chhattisgarh.

The company will invest Rs 235 crore in the project, which is expected to create employment for more than 4,600 people and will manufacture kidswear and knitted garments meant for exports.

Puneet Creations and Drishti Designs LLP have also been allotted land in the Textile Park, thereby boosting investor confidence.

Together the three companies are expected to invest nearly Rs 445 crore and create over 11,000 job opportunities.

The Nava Raipur Textile Park spread across 81 acres is being developed as an integrated ecosystem for textiles, garments, technical textiles and allied industries.

The project complements the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30, which identifies textiles and ready-made garments among the state’s thrust sectors.

To encourage employment generation, the policy provides assistance of Rs 6,000 per month for every woman employee and Rs 5,000 per month for every male employee for five years.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the Nava Raipur Textile Park would provide a strong platform for creating large-scale employment, particularly for women and youth.

He said the government was committed to providing investors with world-class infrastructure and all necessary facilities.
