Bangladeshi exports of apparels totaled US $3.38 billion in June 2026 as against $2.78 billion in June 2025, a surge of 21.5%.
According to data released by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), knitwear exports increased by 19.49% year on year in June 2026, while woven garment exports grew 24.02% during the month.
However, in the twelve months to June 2026, garment exports which account for 80% of overall overseas shipments, slipped 1.64% over the previous fiscal to touch $38.70 billion.
In fiscal 2026, the US continued to remain its largest clothing export market, where exports rose 4.1% year over year to $9.05 billion.
In the fiscal under review, exports of apparels to Germany took second place at $4.72 billion, but were down 10.8% over fiscal 2025, while those to the UK were up 1% to total $4.67 billion.
Clothing shipments to Spain grew to 6.7% to $3.79 billion and those to the Netherlands expanded by 4.9% to $2.47 billion in fiscal 2026.
