Chinese exports of spandex totalled 44,410 tonnes across January to July 2026, marking a year-on-year fall of 9.51% or a drop of 4,672 tonnes, while average export price stood at US $4.18 per kg.
Within July 2026 alone, spandex overseas shipments reached 5,543 tonnes, down 12.42% compared to July 2025, also down 23.73% as against June 2026, while average export price was $4.55 per kg.
“Between January and July 2026, Vietnam remained the largest export destination for Chinese spandex, with total volume well ahead of other countries,” Chinese customs informed.
Egypt was placed second, sustaining high monthly shipments with comparatively stable order flows. Brazil and Indonesia trailed closely, representing key markets across South America and Southeast Asia.
South Asia and Central Asia witnessed notable growth, with Bangladesh, Pakistan and Uzbekistan ranking amongst the top destinations by total volume.
Driven by domestic spandex prices that rose then stabilised with modest consolidation, alongside RMB appreciation, the monthly average export price has continued its steady upward trajectory since the year began.
