Honestly, I had never experienced such a large scale and well-organized trade show until I attended ITMA in 2015 at Milan, Italy, I had exhibited in that show. ITMA stands for world’s largest global textile and garment machinery and technology exhibition, it is an excellent platform for sales, marketing, trade talks, trade meetings, highlighting innovative products/tools/technology and machineries, press conferences and many more. The show happens every four years, on an average 1500+ exhibitors demonstrate their products or technologies to around 100000+ visitors from across the world for 7 days, such a huge scale! No company miss this opportunity, the exhibiting companies generally start planning very well in advance, from showcasing their latest machine or technology, marketing plan, travel and accommodation, meetings etc., they do everything in advance and well planned. From biggest exhibitors to small exhibitors, they all are literally wait for ITMA. From the visitor’s perspective also, this show is a great platform for all their sourcing needs pertains to machines and technologies.
The upcoming show is at Fiera Milano Rho, Milan, Italy during June 8 to 14, 2023. As the organizer’s statistics, more than 1600 exhibitors from 44 countries have confirmed their exhibition space gross 200000 sqmtrs, and 100000+ visitors are expected from across the world. The exhibitors are from integrated textile and garment manufacturing value chain – spinning, weaving, winding, nonwovens, knitting, sewing/garment making, embroidery, braiding, finishing, printing & inks, testing, logistics, recycling, software & automation, dyes & colors & chemicals, plants operations equipment, services, research & innovation, fibers & yarns & fabrics, in every edition organizers brings something new on table, such as this edition Composites category is also added to exhibit, in total, there are 20 chapters in 2023 edition of the show. ITMA allows only original manufacturers to admit as exhibitors, no second-hand machineries are allowed.
ITMA show owner is CEMATEX and show organizer is ITMA Services, the CEMATEX Associations are ACIMIT, AMEC AMTEX, BTMA, GTM, SWISSMEM, SYMATEX, TMAS, FRENCH TEXTILE EQUIPMENT and VDMA. Few features of the upcoming edition are Start-Up Valley, Research & Innovation Lab, ITMA Sustainable Innovation Award, Innovation Video Showcase and more. There will be many events and conferences during 8 – 14 June, some will be at the show venue and some will be at different places. The visitors are the producers of anything within textile value chain/leather/accessories/home textiles etc. Anyone from the industry can visit the show.
The list of exhibiting companies is too long, I can not mention here. There are 12 halls to cover all the exhibitors and other essentials such as conference rooms, prayer rooms, media centres, ATM/Bank, first aid etc. The venue is connected with metro station and taxi stands. While attending this show, you can also discover other famous places of Milan and surroundings. I am not writing much about the exhibiting space cost or visitor badge cost because by the time this article is published, the show may have begun.
Overall, this is an awesome trade show for everyone from the textile/leather/home textiles/allied industries to attend, it is an Olympic of machines, a not to miss opportunity!
