Cambodian exports of garment, footwear and travel goods (GFT) up 6.2% in H1

Exports from the Cambodian garment, footwear and travel goods (GFT) sector reported a 6.2% rise in the first six months of 2026.

The SE Asian country exported US$7.99 billion worth of products from the GFT industry in the first half of the ongoing year as against $7.52 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

According to the General Department of Customs and Excise, the GFT sector accounts for 46.8% of total merchandise exports

Cambodia’s overall merchandise exports increased 19.5% over a year ago period to total $17 billion in the first six months of 2026.
The GFT sector comprises over 1,800 factories and employs around 1.1 million workers, a majority of who are women.
