Chinese polyester staple fibre exports surge 16.5% in April

In April 2026, polyester staple fibre (PSF) exports from China amounted to 161.5 KT, surging 16.5% over April 2025 and 25.2% over March 2026.

“While, between January and April 2026, China’s PSF exports totaled 553.7 KT, growing by 8.9% over the same months of the previous year,” Chinese customs data informed.

In the first four months of ongoing year, Vietnam was the biggest importer of PSF which totaled to 100.92 KT, accounting for 18.2% of Chinese PSF exports and rising by 6.2% year over year.

Pakistan stood at second rank by importing 60.22 KT and accounted for 10.9% of PSF exports, but they declined 7.7% over the same months of 2025.

Turkey Chinese PSF imports nearly doubled to 30.15 KT in January to April, growing by a massive 93.4% over a year ago period.
