INNOVATION, BUSINESS, AND EXPORT OPPORTUNITIES: KEY HIGHLIGHTS FROM GLOBAL TEXTILE DAYS

Global Textile Days 2025 – Uzbekistan Textile Week, took place on 9-11 September at the Uzexpocentre National Exhibition Complex, marking the opening of the autumn season of Iteca Exhibitions’ 30th anniversary year. The large-scale event brought together three major platforms:

  • The 16th Central Asian International Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Textile, Garment and Knitwear Industry – CAITME 2025
  • The 25th Anniversary International Exhibition of Textile and Garment Industry – TextileExpo Uzbekistan Autumn 2025
  • A diverse Business Programme featuring B2B meetings, presentations and panel discussions

More than 250 companies and brands from 22 countries – Austria, Republic of Belarus, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, the UAE, the United Kingdom, the USA, Turkiye, Uzbekistan – showcased their products and innovations. The event attracted over 6,000 industry professionals, with total attendance exceeding 8,000 visits across three days.

The CAITME exhibition presented an extensive showcase of equipment and solutions for spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing and finishing sectors, alongside the latest sewing technologies. The exhibits ranged from sewing machines and cutting equipment to fully automated sewing systems and specialised software.

As the event’s General Sponsor, MAIB (the Turkish Machinery Exporters Association) hosted a series of constructive discussions at its stand highlighting opportunities for collaboration with its network with more than 25,000 exporting companies.

CAITME once again featured a strong line-up of constant international exhibitors from across Europe and Asia. Among the regular participants were many leading global brands, such as: Truetzschler, Groz-Beckert, Mahlo, Habasit, MHMS, Vandewiele NV, IRO, Biancalani, Corino, Ferraro, Itema, Lafer, Mario Crosta, Motex Di Modiano Guido, Salvade`, Simet, Dilmenler, Dalgakiran, Mersan, Temsan, Lakshmi Machine Works, Lakshmi Card Clothing, Perfect Equipments, CTMTC, Hengyi, Leadsfon, Rifa, Yingyang and many others.

Several well-established global manufacturers and suppliers chose CAITME 2025 for their debut participation, including Samatex, Smartex Europe, Unipessoal Lda, Ab Card Clothing, Stylon and others.

International participation remained a defining feature of the exhibition, with overseas companies making up 82% of all exhibitors. The leading countries represented were China (57 companies), Turkiye (40), India (20), Italy (14) and Germany (10). The Republic of Korea once again hosted a National Pavilion, organised with the support of KOTMI (Korea Textile Machinery Convergence Research Institute).

Across the pavilions, most exhibitors showcased their latest technological developments in operation. A notable highlight was presented by Santoni, a global leader in knitting equipment, which presented three new machines under different brands: Jingmei JFG, Santoni Zenit HS2, and Pilotelli JVCE-4. These models combine advanced European technology with Asian production efficiency, addressing a broad spectrum of modern
market demands.

During all three days, exhibitor stands became centres of lively discussions, with the leading engineers and technical specialists consulting visitors on current challenges and exploring solutions for the future of production.

Alongside traditional exhibits, many companies highlighted innovations addressing some of the industry’s most pressing issues: energy efficiency, advanced water treatment systems, production optimisation through automation, digitalisation, and improved labelling technologies.

Celebrating its 25th edition, the International Textile and Clothing Industry Exhibition – TextileExpo Uzbekistan has firmly established itself as a national brand. This year’s autumn exposition spanned the full spectrum of the textile and light industry – from yarns, fabrics, knitwear and silk to home textiles, hosiery, dyes, chemicals, accessories, footwear, as well as printing and packaging solutions.

As part of the Special Buyer Programme, more than 100 purchasing companies from across the globe held business negotiations with Uzbek textile and raw material producers. The regular participants included buyers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Poland, Russia, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Japan and several other countries.

A key partner of TextileExpo Uzbekistan Autumn 2025 was Qo‘qon Global Teks, a local company established in 2020 that specialises in cotton fibre preparation and spinning. Committed to international quality standards, the company employs state-of-the-art equipment, conducts comprehensive laboratory testing and guarantees products that meet European benchmarks.

The exhibition once again welcomed long-standing participants, such as: Osborn Textile, Mogotex, Merganteks and Daka-Tex Factory, each of which has been a fixture at TextileExpo Uzbekistan for 10 to 20 years. Newcomers including Elegant Fiber Textile, Indigo Garments and Eco Fabric Style also generated strong interest, presenting an array of products ranging from knitted fabrics, synthetic yarns and fibres to velour, polyester, viscose, home textiles, automotive fabrics and finished garments.

A cornerstone of Global Textile Days was its Business Programme, built around the central theme Central Asia as a Manufacturing Hub: Resilience in the Face of Global Challenges. Within the framework of 10 seminars, 14 expert speakers shared their insights on cutting-edge technologies, digitalisation and automation, highlighting how these innovations can reduce costs and enhance factory efficiency. The sessions also explored strategies for accessing new markets, with a particular focus on Russian and international online retail, digital labelling, artificial intelligence applications, and energy-saving solutions.

The relevance of these discussions was underscored by extensive media and institutional attention: The Week’s events were covered in 39 sources, including government bodies, international organisations, diplomatic missions, leading companies, as well as the top 30 domestic and international media platforms.
