Pakistan textile & garment exports explode in July 2026

Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports delivered a stellar performance in July 2026, with export earnings jumping to US $1,814.08 million, a steep 43.13% increase on June’s $1,267.44 million tally and an 8.07% improvement compared with $1,678.62 million recorded in the same month a year earlier.

Provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics show that knitwear held its position as the country’s leading textile export line, with proceeds climbing 46.60% against the previous month to reach $533.84 million and 4.06% over July 2025

Bed linen exports followed a similar trajectory, advancing 47.13% month-on-month to $308.50 million and posting a 4.16% year-on-year gain. Meanwhile, shipments of woven garments accelerated by 45.87% compared to June 2026 to $459.99 million and 15% against same month of 2025.

Towel exports outpaced every other major textile product on a sequential basis, surging 60.35% to $106.36 million, alongside a 13.37% rise versus July of the previous year. Made-up textile articles – a category excluding towels and bed linen, climbed 58.51% month-on-month to settle at $77.21 million.

Cotton fabric shipments grew by 26.27% compared with June, reaching $141.59 million, though this represented a marginal 0.10% decline against year-earlier levels. Cotton yarn exports edged up 3.91% sequentially to $66.53 million while recording a healthier 18.69% annual improvement.

Exports of art silk and synthetic textiles rose 30.57% month-on-month to $30.41 million but remained 8.22% below the corresponding figure from last year.
