(Seoul, South Korea – October 23rd, 2025) – ShinWon Corporation (CEO: JJ Park), a leading global apparel manufacturer, announced that CEO Park has been invited as the only Korean panelist to speak at the ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit 2025 (AIGS), which will be held on October 24 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The invitation recognizes ShinWon’s long-standing commitment to improving working environments, fostering inclusive workplace cultures, and advancing a human-centered growth philosophy across its global production network – including its key ASEAN operations – efforts that have been highlighted as a model for sustainable business transformation.
AIGS is an official side event of the 47th ASEAN Summit, co-hosted by the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC). The summit brings together leaders from government, business, academia, and the social innovation sector to discuss strategies for inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the region.
Guided by the philosophy that “Human resources are a company’s most valuable asset,” ShinWon has continuously enhanced its employee welfare, career development, and training opportunities. The company actively supports female leadership development, with women representing approximately 75% of management positions across its global operations.
ShinWon collaborates with the global multi-stakeholder initiative RISE (Reimagining Industry to Support Equality) across its core focus areas to help achieve RISE’s vision of enabling women workers in global supply chains to experience agency, equality, and rights that uphold their inherent dignity. These efforts reflect ShinWon’s commitment to embedding sustainability, equity, and innovation into every aspect of its operations.
CEO Park serves on the RISE Steering Board as a representative of the supplier group and, in partnership with RISE and Mastercard, launched the RISE Financial Program in August 2025 to enhance employees’ financial literacy. The program currently benefits approximately 300 workers at ShinWon’s Indonesian subsidiary.
ShinWon also continues to strengthen ties with the local communities surrounding its overseas production bases, pursuing the vision of fostering community resilience and shared growth in every region where it operates. The company has adopted the blockchain-based platform Retraced to enhance supply chain transparency and has accelerated the implementation of its Net Zero roadmap following approval from the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative).
Recognizing these efforts, CEO Park was invited to join the AIGS main session, “Leading with Purpose: Building a Sustainable Business” alongside Indonesian actress and social activist Maudy Ayunda, in a dialogue moderated by Ellen Jackowski, Chief Sustainability Officer of Mastercard. The discussion will explore supply chain innovation, sustainability alignment, and responsible leadership as drivers of inclusive business.
As part of its broader ESG strategy, ShinWon continues to advance AI-driven smart factory systems, RFID traceability, and the blockchain platform Retraced to enhance transparency and operational agility. The company’s carbon reduction targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing its commitment to Net Zero manufacturing.
Park stated, “It is an honor to share ShinWon’s sustainable growth philosophy on the global stage at AIGS 2025. The textile and apparel industry is shifting from a volume-driven model to a value-centered ecosystem, where sustainable manufacturing is no longer optional – it is essential for the coexistence of humanity and the planet.
ShinWon will continue to build a fairer and more responsible industrial ecosystem driven by people, technology, and data.”
Currently, ShinWon operates 15 entities across 10 countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua, employing over 30,000 people worldwide. Through ongoing investment in employee development, wellbeing, and digital innovation, ShinWon continues to fulfill its responsibility as a global leader in sustainable manufacturing.
