Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris reflects the new global balance of textile and apparel sourcing, highlighting a strong diversity of sourcing countries — some unexpected

Date:

From 31 August to 2 September 2026, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris will bring together more than 1,000 international exhibitors at Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre. This edition reflects the new global balance of textile and apparel sourcing, highlighting a strong diversity of sourcing countries — some unexpected.

Built around Texworld Paris for fabrics and raw materials, Apparel Sourcing Paris for finished products and fashion accessories, and Avantex, the leading showcase for solutions driving a more sustainable and higher-performing fashion industry, the 59th edition of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris brings together the full spectrum of sourcing opportunities. It confirms the event’s central role at a time when the global textile industry is undergoing significant transformation. More than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world will present their collections, expertise and sourcing solutions to buyers from Europe and beyond.

A clearer, higher-quality offer
This edition reflects the ongoing changes in the apparel market. “In a context of industrial consolidation and increasingly streamlined supply chains, buyers are no longer looking for the widest possible offer. Instead, they are seeking carefully selected, reliable partners able to deliver quality, flexibility and competitive pricing,” says Julien Schmoll, Marketing and Communications Director at Messe Frankfurt France. “This edition of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris reflects that shift. With a more focused, easier-to-navigate and higher-quality offer, it enables buyers to identify the sourcing solutions best suited to today’s market challenges.”

To support this objective, Halls 3 and 4 have been organised to make exhibitors’ areas of expertise easier to identify and to encourage exchanges between manufacturers, brands and sourcing professionals. Structured around womenswear, casualwear and sportswear, this expertise-driven layout strengthens synergies across the industry while addressing a key market expectation: helping buyers quickly connect with suppliers able to combine quality, competitiveness, responsive logistics and innovation.

Texworld: showcasing leading international textile expertise
With more than 500 textile manufacturers and weaving companies from around ten countries, Texworld reinforces its position as a strategic platform for fabrics and textile raw materials. The world’s leading textile-producing regions will be represented through national pavilions and collective delegations, including China, Türkiye (supported by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce), Korea
(represented by KOFOTI, the Korea Federation of Textile Industries) and India, whose high-end embroidery specialists continue to demonstrate the country’s strong momentum.

Technical expertise and product differentiation
As buyers increasingly seek products that stand out in the market, Texworld is highlighting manufacturers that combine technical expertise, creativity and high-quality craftsmanship. One of the highlights of this edition is the participation of La Lainière de Picardie (Chargeurs PCC Group), whose presence marks an important milestone for the show. Specialising in interlinings for the ready-to-wear industry, the company represents the industrial heritage of northern France while combining outstanding expertise with certified materials. It also offers a distinctive approach to responsible sourcing, illustrating how some European manufacturers are expanding their international reach and promoting premium production on global markets.

Another notable first-time exhibitor is the Estonian company Osaühing Tekser Grupp, a specialist in high-end linen manufacturing. Its participation further reflects the growing demand for premium, traceable natural fibres.

Initiatives: textile excellence in action
Located at the entrance to Hall 4, in the heart of Texworld, the Initiatives area expands its role as a showcase for high value-added expertise. Through a series of demonstrations and themed presentations, it will highlight both innovative developments and traditional craftsmanship. Korea, represented by KOFOTI, will showcase a selection of the country’s most distinctive textile productions. Türkiye will also highlight its outstanding expertise, alongside the China Textile Innovation Center (CTIC), which will present a selection of looks created by some of China’s most innovative textile and apparel companies.

The area will also feature the expertise of Chargeurs PCC. Oracle, a company recognized for its high-end technical textile developments, particularly for premium markets, will present its latest sustainable textile innovations developed in partnership with its Indonesian partner. Finally, the Atelier Chardon Savard fashion school will unveil twelve looks created by its final-year students, exploring textile finishing techniques and demonstrating how creativity, technical expertise and material innovation can work together.

Apparel Sourcing: diversification and new sourcing alternatives
With more than 500 manufacturers of garments and fashion accessories, Apparel Sourcing Paris is maintaining a level of participation comparable to September 2025, despite a more challenging global economic environment. The world’s leading sourcing countries—including China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Euro-Mediterranean region—will once again form the core of the exhibition. This edition also reflects the ongoing diversification of sourcing strategies and the growing importance of near sourcing, which has become a key driver in the development of the finished products sector.

New geographical dynamics
Several countries continue to strengthen their position. Armenia, which attracted strong interest during its first participation in September 2025, returns with around ten companies. Kyrgyzstan, taking part for the second consecutive year, will be represented by around fifteen exhibitors. Uzbekistan, a strategic player thanks to its major role in global cotton production, continues to expand its presence at the show. Also worth noting is the first physical participation of Bulgaria, represented by a pavilion bringing together several manufacturers. Countries that have long supported the event also remain strongly represented. Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh will all maintain a significant presence, with Bangladesh further consolidating its position as the world’s second-largest sourcing hub for finished apparel after China.

Near sourcing: meeting market demand
Developed in partnership with FourSource, the Near Sourcing Hub will bring together around 30 companies from Türkiye, Serbia, Romania and Portugal in a 250 sqm area at the entrance to Hall 3. This hybrid concept gives buyers access to both physical and digital collections. Ten manufacturers will exhibit on-site, while samples from around twenty additional companies will be linked
via QR codes to the FourSource platform, making it easier to connect with suppliers and request quotations. This approach reflects the market’s evolving priorities: greater proximity, shorter production lead times and improved supply chain control.

New product segments and an expanded offer
This edition also introduces new product categories to help buyers broaden and complement their collections. A new Jewellery & Leather area, located at the entrance to Hall 3, will bring together a selection of companies specialising in jewellery and leather accessories, giving buyers access to a wider sourcing offer. Denim finished products will be clearly identified within the Casual & Sport sector. Positioned at the crossroads of Texworld and Apparel Sourcing, the new Outdoor zone will bring together around 50 exhibitors, combining manufacturers of technical fabrics for activewear with sportswear garment manufacturers. This complementary offer reflects the needs of a market that continues to evolve.

Avantex: accelerating the industry’s transformation
Located in the passage linking Hall 2—home to the Trends Forum, the Agora and the event’s service areas—to Hall 3, Avantex occupies a strategic position within the Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris ecosystem. Bringing together around 30 exhibitors dedicated to technology solutions, innovative materials and responsible initiatives, the sector showcases the tools that are already shaping the future of fashion, including sustainable materials, traceability, artificial intelligence, industrial optimisation, circularity and new business models. Against a rapidly evolving regulatory and environmental backdrop, Avantex provides a unique platform for dialogue between manufacturers, start-ups, investors and brands. Over the three-day event, conferences, workshops and networking sessions will offer practical insights into the major transformations reshaping the industry (see programme).

Texpertise Focus AI x SPOTT : AI, circularity and innovation
This year, Avantex will highlight the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the fashion industry through Texpertise Focus AI x SPOTT, an inspiration hub developed with the support of Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network. This educational showcase, complemented by a Tech Tour led by Anja Bisgaard Gaede (SPOTT Trends & Business), will present innovative technologies and initiatives that are reshaping the textile value chain.
Among the exhibitors at Avantex Paris 2026 are GoldenEye Smart Vision, which offers an AI-powered textile inspection solution combined with a proprietary optoelectronic system; FreyZein, a specialist in technical textiles made without petrochemical derivatives; SAO Textile, the French pioneer in transforming recycled fishing nets into sustainable textiles; as well as LeLabPlus, Seconde Matière and Mitwill, whose approaches combine design, circularity, data intelligence and responsible supply chains to drive the sustainable transformation of the French textile industry.

Avantex Fashion Pitch: celebrating entrepreneurial innovation
A key highlight of this edition, the Avantex Fashion Pitch will showcase start-ups developing solutions designed to drive the long-term transformation of the fashion industry. The finalists will present their projects during the final pitch on 31 August in front of an international jury composed of Claudia Franz (Director Brand Management Apparel Fabrics & Fashion and Interior & Contract
Textiles), Messe Frankfurt), Yoobin Jung (Portfolio Development Manager, KOMPAS VC), Céline Lippi (Co-founder & Managing Director at Fashion Capital Partners, Luxury Tech Fund and Cuir Invest), Élodie Lemaire Nowinski (Cultural Infrastructure & Fashion Heritage Strategist), Rachel de Gooijer (Circular Textile Days Marketing Manager and athlete: second strongest woman in the Netherlands), Evelyn Mora (Founder & CEO at VLGE AI), Jayne Simone Estève Curé (Luxury & Creative-Led Fashion Expert) et Belvis Soler (Co-Founder and Art Director, Luxiders Magazine). The winners will receive a range of benefits, including a dedicated stand at Avantex Paris, a €2,000 prize provided by Texpertise and Messe Frankfurt France, one year of access to the Foundry fashion incubator offered by IFA Paris, a keynote opportunity at Circular Textile Days, a sponsored article in Luxiders Magazine.

Discussing and shaping the future of fashion
A programme of conferences, panel discussions, keynotes and activities will complement the exhibitor offering at the Agora. Key topics will include fashion trends, market developments, the regenerative textile economy, artificial intelligence and sustainable development goals, emerging materials, changing professions, evolving expertise, HR challenges and regulatory developments. Among the highlights, Louis Gérin, Artistic Director of the shows, will present Autopsy, the new trend book from Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris, offering a forward-looking analysis for the Autumn-Winter 2027-2028 season.

The “Threading Circularity” Forum, organised by the Fédération de la Mode Circulaire and the TCBL association, will be a major part of the conference programme. Taking place on the morning of Wednesday 2 September, it will bring together experts, industry professionals and innovation leaders to explore the key drivers of the circular economy: developing repair ecosystems, extending product lifecycles, promoting local resources and reinventing European value chains. The morning will feature interactive keynotes, a panel discussion and several case studies.

Finally, the Econogy Tour, taking place on Monday 31 August from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, will offer journalists the opportunity to discover some of the most environmentally responsible initiatives showcased at the events. Focusing on sustainable fashion challenges, this guided tour will highlight concrete solutions in circularity, eco-design, traceability and production process optimisation.
