Trident Reaffirms Green Commitment with ‘Nirmal Narmada Abhiyan’ in Madhya Pradesh

Date:

Over 100 volunteers—Trident employees, CSR champions, and local heroes—united for a massive sustainability-driven cleanup, restoring Avali Ghat for future generations.

Budhni, Madhya Pradesh, – Trident Group, a leading Indian business conglomerate and global textile manufacturer, observed Earth Week with the successful launch of the Nirmal Narmada Abhiyan at Avali Ghat, Salkanpur, Budhni, Madhya Pradesh. The initiative, spearheaded by the Trident Humanity Foundation under the CSR wing of the Group, is a significant step towards preserving one of India’s most sacred rivers — the Narmada.

The abhiyan was carried out under the guidance of Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta, Chairman Emeritus of Trident Group, and Smt. Madhu Gupta, CSR Head, whose vision for a greener planet continues to inspire purposeful action at the grassroots level. The campaign reflects Trident’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement, being aligned with large vision of continued efforts towards environmental conservation.

Over 100 passionate volunteers, including Trident employees, CSR team members, and locals, actively participated in the large-scale cleanliness and rejuvenation drive at Avali Ghat. The event at Avali Ghat saw the presence of Mr. Dinesh Singh Tomar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Revenue), and Mr. Nitin Malhotra, who provided valuable support and encouragement to the teams on the ground. CSR representative Arvind Giri and his team coordinated the efforts alongside village leaders, including the sarpanch and panchayat secretary.

As part of Earth Week celebrations, Trident also organized a heartfelt drawing competition for specially-abled children at a school in Sanghera, Punjab. The event encouraged young minds to creatively express their love for nature and fostered environmental awareness through art. Simultaneously, Trident employees across locations participated actively in green office practices and internal competitions. These efforts underscore the Group’s culture of embedding sustainability not just in policy, but in everyday action.

Trident’s culture of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) seamlessly merges with its ethos of Individual Social Responsibility (ISR), as demonstrated by the overwhelming employee participation in this campaign.

This event is one of many under Trident’s ongoing sustainability initiatives, reinforcing the Group’s leadership in driving social and environmental change.
