Jack unveils stitching robot & robotic garment production line

Date:

Aitu Technology, the robotics arm of Jack Technology staged a worldwide launch to present the Aini Intelligent Sewing Robot and the Production Line King, a complete robotic garment line, as part of a drive to bring commercial-scale automation to clothing factories.

Opening the event, Jack Technology’s founder and chairman, Ruan Jixiang, framed the sector’s difficulties as three blades of a pair of shears: people, profit and pace.

According to Jixiang, these describe a dwindling workforce, squeezed margins and conventional lines that cannot keep up with fast-shifting orders. Both launches, he said, were conceived as hardware and end-to-end line solutions aimed squarely at those weaknesses.

Aini is designed for the sewing cell on the factory floor, where it tackles the long-standing difficulties of working with pliable materials: picking up fabric, flattening it and correcting its position as it moves.

The robot can lift a single ply from a wide range of textiles and adjust on the fly when fabric drifts because of disruptions in production. Operators can teach it to move between tasks such as patch attachment, buttonholes and button sewing, with no need for engineers to rewrite code.

It rests on three in-house technologies: the Tianyanhu AI vision system, the Jiunao Octopus large model and the Linghou Qiaoshou sensor.

The company calls the Production Line King as the world’s first robotic garment line capable of volume manufacture. The Polaris AI system acts as its control centre, coordinating an unmanned cutting station, an AI-driven delivery system, several Aini sewing units and an AI quality-inspection module.

In a trial on a shirt line at Shengtai Group, headcount fell from 40 to 12 for identical output. Daily volumes reached 1,000 plain shirts and 700 striped ones, with fabric savings of 5%, a 30% gain in quality and a 20% cut in delivery times.

Payback is projected at under three years. The unmanned cutting station replaces the usual seven cutting positions with a single inspection point and sorts cut pieces correctly at the first attempt 99.9% of the time.

Shengtai Group chairman Xu Lei said the line’s worth goes beyond lower labour needs: it moves garment-making away from dependence on skilled workers’ experience towards a model in which systems, robots and data work in concert.

Aitu Technology chief executive Zhang Hanwen observed that factories differ in processes and lean standards, adding that the aim is for manufacturers to tailor the robots to their own requirements with ease.
