Textile PLI Scheme reopens for another round with Rs 100cr threshold

Date:

India’s Ministry of Textiles is preparing to relaunch the application portal for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles, inviting fresh submissions under Round 4 from November 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.

To broaden participation, the ministry has introduced several key changes to the scheme.

Lower turnover threshold:
The minimum turnover requirement under the Part 2 category has been cut from Rs 200 crore to Rs 100 crore, opening the door wider to MSMEs and mid-sized manufacturing units.

Longer tenure:
The scheme’s duration has been stretched to financial year 2033-34, solely for applicants cleared under Round 4.

The longer period is meant to give these firms a more extended investment and operating horizon as they build and scale up their production capacity.

Migration option:
Companies already participating in Rounds 1, 2 and 3, under any part of the scheme, that have not so far claimed or received any incentive may switch to Round 4, provided they first withdraw their existing applications under the relevant earlier round.

The Textiles Ministry has urged eligible firms to lodge their applications within the stated window, in line with the applicable scheme guidelines.
