Bangladesh’s garment exports posted healthy gains in September and across the opening fiscal quarter, which closed on September 30, 2026.
Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data shows September apparel overseas shipments climbed 8.8% year on year to $3.08 billion, up from $2.83 billion.
Both segments contributed last month as knitwear rose 8.58% and woven apparel 8.54% on the year-earlier period.
For the July-September quarter of FY2026-27, overall clothing exports advanced 6.10% to $10.57 billion, compared with $9.97 billion in the corresponding period last year.
By segment, knitwear shipments gained 6.88% over the quarter to $5.63 billion, while woven garments strengthened 5.11% to $4.61 billion with other categories like accessories accounting for the rest.
