From September 8 to 10, Tashkent will once again become Central Asia’s hub for textile and garment industry professionals from around the world. During these days, the key event of the Global Textile Days forum will take place — the 17th Central Asian International Exhibition of Textile Machinery and Technologies for the Textile and Garment Industry (CAITME 2026), which will occupy all pavilions of the Uzexpocentre NEC.
Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its position as the Central Asian hub for textile, apparel, and fashion manufacturing. In January–March 2026, the country exported textile products worth USD 739.9 million, representing a 17.6% increase compared to the same period last year. This achievement is the result of a comprehensive two-year government program aimed at strengthening the financial sustainability and expanding the capacity of the light industry sector. The initiative’s primary objective is to significantly increase the presence of Uzbek textile and apparel products in global markets, which will require attracting approximately USD 4.7 billion in foreign investment and creating 80,000 new jobs in the coming years.
The implementation of these plans is supported by substantial growth in production performance. To modernize manufacturing capacities, the industry is actively attracting foreign capital: investment volumes are expected to reach USD 2.2 billion in 2026 and increase to USD 2.5 billion in 2027.
For 17 years, CAITME has played a vital role in supporting the domestic textile and garment industry in its efforts to modernize operations, enhance productivity, and improve global competitiveness. Recognized as a landmark event for the textile and garment sector in Central Asia, CAITME is also the largest exhibition of its kind in the CIS, according to independent audit data.
Each year, the exhibition brings together leading textile machinery manufacturers and suppliers of cutting-edge technologies from Europe and Asia. The event attracts industry professionals and experts from across Central Asia and beyond, as well as major investors and international organizations.
CAITME provides industry specialists with the opportunity to see the latest innovations and technological developments in basic and auxiliary equipment in operation. It also offers access to a wide range of machinery accessories, components, devices, textile chemicals and dyes, water treatment systems, and much more.
CAITME 2026 will once again occupy all exhibition halls of the Uzexpocentre NEC and will be organised into dedicated sections to ensure efficient navigation and productive business interactions for visitors:
- Cotton ginning and spinning technologies
- Dyeing and finishing technologies
- Weaving and knitting machinery and accessories
- Garment manufacturing equipment
- Textile chemicals and dyes
The planned exhibition will feature products and solutions from more than 250 companies and brands representing over 20 countries. A National Pavilion of Germany by VDMA is also being prepared for participation.
An extensive business program is planned alongside the exhibition, including presentations, B2B meetings, panel discussions, and other professional networking activities. We invite all industry professionals to take an active part in the event.
